PICUSAN®: Wet Trap for Monitoring and Capturing the Red Palm Weevil

PICUSAN® is a wet trap specially designed for the monitoring and mass trapping of the Red Palm Weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus), one of the most devastating pests affecting palm trees and other plants of the palm family. It is also effective in capturing other beetles. Its innovative design is adapted to the biology of this pest, ensuring efficient and sustainable trapping.

The trap features a pyramidal body with a specific inclination and rough surface, allowing insects to climb easily. In addition, its closing system ensures a completely sealed compartment between the body and the container, preventing insects from escaping. PICUSAN® must be baited with the aggregation pheromone of the Red Palm Weevil, attracting both males and females in their adult stage.
